£7,500 off the cost of an air source heat pump — replacing gas or oil heating
The Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS) provides a £7,500 government voucher toward the installed cost of an air source heat pump, or £5,000 toward a biomass boiler. The voucher is applied at the point of purchase — you simply pay the difference. The scheme is available in England only and was significantly boosted in 2023 from the original £5,000 to £7,500.
Find at epcregister.com. If it recommends loft or cavity wall insulation, get that done first.

OFGEM issues the voucher. Work must be completed and commissioned within the validity period.

You receive an MCS certificate — keep this for your records and any future Smart Export Guarantee applications.
